“Berlin is not yet Berlin, it is becoming Berlin!" Witness this process with me. On my tours you can discover the architecture of the new Berlin and its industrial history; the traces of the division of the city and its new beginning after the fall of the Wall, to neighbourhoods in East and West, through gardens and across cemeteries, and to canals and lakes. You will become familiar with the terms "Kreuzberger Mischung" and "Neue Wache". We will rub shoulders with Knobelsdorff and Aldo Rossi, with Langhans and Kleihues, with Titian's legacy and Picasso in Berlin, and then you can relax over ossobuco or linguine. Berlin cuisine is famously Italian! Gendarmenmarkt, the Museum Island, the Berlin Cathedral, Humboldt Forum, Hackesche Höfe, New Synagogue, Reichstag and government quarter – that would bea city tour to seven destinations. Please come along!
Berlin offers an abundance of museums and art. I will show you the city's most important art treasures whether on the Museum Island and in the Kulturforum, in the Museum Quarter around Charlottenburg Palace, or in the many smaller but no less fine museums, galleries and private collections, and I will guide you through the numerous temporary exhibitions.
Potsdam is worth at least a day trip. The Potsdam palaces of Sanssouci, Babelsberg and Cecilienhof not only reflect Prussian history but are also important sites of the global events that took place at the end of the Second World War. The vastness of the Mark Brandenburg with its largely unspoilt landscapes, its picturesque villages, estates and monasteries is a relaxing feast for the eyes.
